good morning and happy tuesday locos. Today is Republic Day in Turkey. Tomorrow, I don’t see any holidays. And just a reminder, this weekend, most of the US (not Marg) is setting back their clocks an hour for a well deserved extra weekend hour.

    Good morning, everybody…

There’s popcorn balls at “The Argyle Sweater.”

It’s “National Oatmeal Day,” today. You all know my favourite cookie, but here’s something I found that I think is a bit different, and I just might try them myself.

    From: From: Company’s Coming (Breads)
Published and distributed by: Company’s Coming Publishing Limited
    Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
    I.S.B.N. 1-895455-09-X

    Oatmeal Crackers

Rolled oats 1 cup       250 mL
    All-purpose flour 1 cup       250 mL
Whole wheat flour 1 cup       250 mL
Granulated sugar 1/4 cup       60 mL
Baking soda 1/2 tsp.        2 mL
Butter or hard margarine, melted 1/2 cup       125 mL
Sour cream or yogurt 1/2 cup       125 mL

Stir first 5 ingredients together in medium bowl.
Add butter and sour cream to flour mixture.
    Mix.
Roll as thin as you can on lightly floured surface.
    Cut in strips 1 × 3 inch (2.5 × 7.5 cm) in size.
    Arrange on ungreased baking sheet.
Prick with fork in several places.
Bake in 350°F (175°C) oven for 10 to 12 minutes until golden.
    Makes 10 1/2 dozen.

Note from me. General experience tells me to keep a close eye on them from the 8 minute mark.

On this day in 1929, the stock market crashed. We all know what happened then.

If this isn’t true, it should be.

An unknown Native American is said to have said…

“Only the white man would cut a foot off the top of the blanket, sew it to the bottom of the blanket, and say he had a longer blanket.”

    Buenas Dias!

Yes Akenta and then it gets dark an hour earlier. I’ll take the extra hour of daylight over that so called extra hour of sleep. :-)

    Good morning all!

With November around the corner, I am entering the toughest leg of Graduate school. I may be scarce, but I’ll try to say hi when I can.

It is the coldest day yet; 32degrees, but like yesterday it is going to be a bright sunny day. Yesterday might be my last lawn mowing experience of the year.

Now there is a recipe I can afford to make, ALEXI. But I lack the counter space to roll out the dough. I’ll have to improvise.

    Buenos Dias LOCOS.
It is 6 degrees here. Not quite freezing (0 degrees), but close. Going down to 3 degrees tonight. The Burbs will have frost for sure.

A one hit wonder with “Walk On The Wild Side” and part of The Velvet Underground.
