    Good morning, everybody.

    On this day in 1812, the U.S. congress declared war on Great Britain. Not to put too fine a point on it; Canada still exists.
    Three years later, in 1815, Napoleon’s army was defeated at Waterloo.

    Life really should be like this…

    ”To do” list.

    good morning and happy tuesday locos I don’t see any holidays on the calendar today. If I would have looked ahead, I could have taken another day off :-)

    I found a holiday for today – Egypt is celebrating Evacuation Day.

    This short article, under a two minute read, gives a good over-all view of Egypt’s “Evacuation Day,” and also has a satellite photograph of the Suez Canal.

    @Dry

    It’s my kind of list!

    Here is a recipe for Koshary. Koshary is, apparently, a popular “street food” in Egypt and as holidays usually mean taking to the streets I thought it fit the bill.
