    That’s a pretty good “success rate” for repty babies. And, it’s a decent indicator that mutant sex produces offspring. The Lizard Army WILL march on.

    Price to pay, by Jenner
    To the tune of Yesterday by Lennon & McCartney

    Price to pay
    Things were all so simple yesterday
    Then a complication came my way,
    And now there’ll be a price to pay

    Scrambled egg
    There’s no way to take it back a leg
    Or to make it good and clean, I beg –
    My world is like a scrambled egg

    Why I chose this road I don’t know, the sky was grey
    And the other path seemed too dark. I couldn’t stay.

    Price to pay
    I’ll be counting every egg I lay
    Count the cost of being here today.
    I’m living with the price to pay.

    I’m guessing that until she saw the babies, she was set to destroy the place (presumably by letting certain shrink-wrapped psychos know about it). Now? She’s got to be a bit more creative…

    They’re so cute at that age before they become genocidal maniacs.

    @Jenner

    Wasn’t that the original lyric? “Scrambled eggs / ooh my baby how I love your legs…”

    Ah, but what if your firstborn isn’t a Reptilian? (First-laid?)

    what if the “species war” Piotr predicts doesn’t start on its own. Will the lizards live in peace or instigate it themselves?

    In panel 1, Sarah is holding the egg away from her…by panel 3 she’s embracing it, protecting it. Or am I reading too much into it?

    Probably not. Aaron thinks of these things.
    And even if it’s not that she’s “embracing” the lifestyle, when you carry something fragile while you walk, you hold it away from you so your arms absorb the shock of each step.

    But look at the feet of the “person” standing by the door in frame one. That’s not a reptile, is it?

    @Darwinskeeper

    The Reptiles are like humans in most respects, so they’ll eventually outgrow their current location and take over the neighboring colonies with time. Hopefully, if they have any American ingenuity, they’ll have developed better weapons than wooden swords by them

    Now Aaron’s got us thinking “awwww”. Yet we know what they are being born into. Not to mention how few of the fertilized eggs got that far.
