I never fail to be in awe of the visuals. This is brilliant cartooning.

The oil lamp at the bedside implies a lack of electricity…but back a couple of strips the Lizards talked of salvaging Clive’s head…and for that, they would need electricity. An energy shortage?

The entire colony is based on pre-20th century tech. But, they do use dittos. Contradictions.
Maybe they’ll use Clive for fertilizer.

Knock Knock Knockin’ on Devil’s Door. by Jenner
To the tune of on Knock Knock Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door by Bob Dylan

    Sinkin’ heart goin’ down
    Hollow hope, hollow crown
    Can’t see freedom anymore.
Now I’m knockin’ on Devil’s door.

Knock knock knockin’ on Devil’s door
Knock knock knockin’ on Devil’s door
Knock knock knockin’ on Devil’s door

    All I was yesterday,
    Piece by piece, melts away.
    Friends ain’t due any score.
Now I’m knockin’ on Devil’s door.

Knock knock knockin’ on Devil’s door
Knock knock knockin’ on Devil’s door
Knock knock knockin’ on Devil’s door

    Open up, let me in.
    Let this cold blood begin.
Feel like Faust. Feel like a whore.
Here I’m knockin’ on Devil’s door.

Knock knock knockin’ on Devil’s door
Knock knock knockin’ on Devil’s door
Knock knock knockin’ on Devil’s door

Unless I am very much mistaken, we are about to see the proverbial rift in the lute become a chasm.

All we know is that a confrontation is a brewing…
    .
Some think Sarah is a caving. And her personality to date certainly leaves that a possibility.
    .
But we saw how she looked when she looked at Jim a sleeping.
    .
“Prove it!” – just might mean she’s about to have a wall-to-wall conversation with Piotr…
    .
Or, as someone who reads too much Pearls Before Swine,
    .
Sarah may be just about to go WALLY on Piotr (as in “postal”)!

I get the feeling that Sarah wants nothing to do with this group of reptiles.

My guess is that the colony has two levels of tech. One for the general population and one for defense. Its sort of the same way that the average Endtowner doesn’t get to play with Mallard’s inventions.

So many ways one could take “prove it”. My first impression is that since “fitting of uniforms” didn’t work out, she may be wanting to see if intimacy with her own kind is any better. She also may be wanting to understand what her colony can offer its own. I wonder if Piotr knows about Wally yet.

This panel today does make it interesting. If we flash back to early Sarah and Jim….was the love stated by Jim for Sarah the same as Sarah for Jim. He did remember….she seemed to forget. If she did forget it must not have been that strong.
In other words Jim loves Sarah but Sarah not so much on Jim. Sarah may feel a connection but not the love for Jim and does not know how to break it to him.
This could be a real deal breaker to Jim. He went through all that work and change for Sarah and her cancer. Changing himself along with her and all for what???
Just to find out from Sarah…..like the Meatloaf Song Sarah may soon be singing to Jim.
“Two out of three ain’t bad.”

Perhaps Sarah hopes that the right amount of negotiating will give her something that could make things a little easier for the others.
