What! After all that the other elevators are still working?!?! Now Aaron, a 6 week break with W&H starting a lengthy topside adventure is one thing. But being hauled back down to a detention cell to await yet another show trial is just not fair! Have mercy sir! ;-)

Never a Lucranian salvage ship around when you need one… ;-)

Well that did answer a question I was going to post today about damage to the system below.
It is well built for sure.
Of course what we do not know is this:
Are Holly and Wally right now secured behind dittos? In other words we can see them as the character but the rats only see the pod and not them.
The dittos do things as needed and right now hiding Holly and Wally is more important than the Pod.
The dittos sense what is needed.
Remember Wally said yesterday their purpose was to survive.
It does not look like the Rats are on a capture mission.
The pod can be buried. I imagine enough Rats can be found or bring those Dustcrawlers into work. The dustcrawlers excavate under the pod and down it goes.

“Terrorist” singular. So they are not after Holly.
Damage confined to only one tube since it had most of a mile to dissipate and solid rock around.
Why not push the pod and small debris into tube and let the sand cover it? Save the dittos for later.

I don’t think these guys are planning to take prisoners. One hopes the dittos have gotten over their snit and decided to be helpful.

He doesn’t have the grenade anymore, Mr Rats. He can’t threaten you anymore. Everyone head back home.

Wally is a strong character but move the pod himself?
    The small parts are easy.

If the rats were REALLY concerned with the security of Endtown (as opposed to just playing with their guns) they could focus on doing something about the exposed pod.

If you noticed in the past, rats don’t think larger picture. Heck, they don’t think past their own gun barrels! The only other thoughts they do are eating and covering their own butts!

After they take out the terrorist.

I wondered about this. What kind of mission could Mallard have sent Wally on if Wally can’t report back? Wally not only burned thst bridge…he blew it up. He won’t be welcome back in Endtown, even after Jakerabbit goes away.

IIRC, the mission was more of an excuse to get topside. I don’t believe he had any intention of completing the mission, he just needed a pass to the surface. I could be wrong, been up all night.

    @MacEwanMouse

That’s about the size of it. Wally seems to be following Al’s advice. Go to Mallard for a mission with no definite timetable as an excuse to get the heck out of dodge. Then look for a saner place to live.
