This answers several people’s questions about how the remains are handled. We still don’t know about trash recycling, though.

Wonder what kind of coffins they use. Wood would be scarce and a more solid material such as tin or copper would be difficult. I have gone all this time with " out the bridge and into the water."Oh well, as used as I am to being right it is about times that I relax and enjoy somebody else being right.
The smell alone would forbid having a dump. Burning is out of the question, even smoking should be suspended because of the population increase of pollution. But too many persons smoke

Recycling is right. Probably anything that can be fixed, broken down, repurposed, reclaimed, is used again or goes to the spare materials storage. Organic matter is recycled as much as possible (as on a long space voyage) and whatever remains is taken deep into one of the unfinished side caverns

Graves out of solid rock and that are stalactites in the background. I would have guessed that in Endtown the dead would be burned or airdryed in catacombs like the Nord graves in Skyrim.
But I agree with DOL, to much smokers for an enclosed Biosphere of that size.

Vince would probably prefer to be underutilized …
    If at all.

I hope the Topsiders aren’t able to detect that jackhammer through seismography. That would go for any kind of industrial plants in Endtown too.

I doubt it, I’m not an expert on seismic activity but it seems like a lot has gone on that could possibly alert it, but hasn’t. Given the fact this appears to be his job, it seems like they’ve been doing this for a while, and haven’t been detected yet.

I have a feeling the most popular movie in Endtown right now is Death Takes A Holiday.

    detect that jackhammer through seismography.
    .
Not likely. Remember, there’s that large dust layer up above deep enough to wipe out all topography. It would be a very poor transmitter of sound. Industry in Endtown seems to still be pretty small at this point, mostly cottage-type. We’ve seen lots of folks selling stuff, but not anyone making anything.
