At least Linda gives Wally the praise he deserves for going through all this.

Watch out everyone. If I am not mistaken, and I don’t think I am, Aaron is out to GET US!!! This is too tame. Too calm, too trite, which is as I anticipate a calm before the storm!!!! OH Yes. Watch out all you. Friday will be probably ghastly. horrible, maybe even nauseating beyond anything we could forget in all the future of End town. I hope I am not wrong.

Well, Flask is still in the mix, somewhere…

“Well, Flask is still in the mix, somewhere…”

Wally can barely stand, and he only fell a few feet into the dust. Flask went through a lot more hell, and didn’t land on her feet. I’d say that she’s still in the mixer somewhere…

This is beautiful. It is the payoff I’ve been waiting a year for.
A small payoff, admittedly, and only a temporary lull in the convoluted plot, and definitely not the last word… but emotionally, it’s exactly the right resolution at the right time.
And now I’m getting all teared up.
Thank you, Aaron Neathery. Curse you and thank you.

Remember, in this story, the victory conditions:
    - Stay alive
    - Stay human.
Fulfilling one but not the other counts as failure.

Yes. Flask is unaccounted for. Assuming she survived her splashdown, she’ll be headed to the domes.

Come now Coyoty, you know Flask can’t go anywhere near that place. They obviously want her badly, given the elaborate rocket ruse the put together to draw her out. No, she fell INTO whatever the others just fell OUT of. AM really is capable of controlling things here. He let her play out her hand on the ship, but if she’s still alive, I suspect she’s safely contained, at least for the moment.

One thing confuses me though. When they were surrounded in the PT, Linda demanded to speak to her child who was located in Pine Valley dome #3, yet on June 25, Linda identified this outpost as Cedar Springs. I know we still know very little about how the TS world is set up, but at first glance that seems odd. I had initially assumed Linda’s son was in this outpost and expected her to play some part in stopping Flask, but then figured her lack of involvement was due to the fact he was located somewhere else and not in immediate danger. Now this. Curiouser and curiouser…

Well, Wally certainly has managed to succeed so far, though around here condition 1 can never be taken for granted. However, it begs the question, what about the others? If condition 2 is simply to remain human, it could be argued that they all met that requirement. Each member of our little group has responded to this situation in what could be argued ( I think) typically human ways. All different, but each typically human in their own way. Wally and Flask were both willing to sacrifice themselves, one to prevent atrocity, the other to enact revenge. Petey and Holly fell in the middle. Do what you can for the “others” but not to the point of sacrificing your own. Petey took action because he could, Holly did not because there was nothing she could do. All typically human responses, spanning the spectrum of possibilities. Which ones were most worthy of emulation, it would seem, depends on the observers point of view. (back to Obiwan again!)

Yeah…“Stay human” implies certain standards of behavior, morals, ethics…however you want to put it. But “humans” engage in much behavior that other humans find unacceptable, even abhorant. Whose standard of “human” is the right one?

Though, in a way, that’s the point, isn’t it? Wally saved the Topsiders because, although they are the enemy, they are still human.

    We have a new success!
If you go to the GoComics “comics” tab at the top of the page and scroll down to the bottom, you will see Endtown listed as one of the 10 “DAILY MOST POPULAR”.
