It's the End of Civilization as we know it. A mutagenic plague followed by a global war fought with disintegration weaponry has left much of the Earth a desert of fine powder and what remains of humanity fragmented into humans, animal-like mutants and bloodthirsty monstrosities with lots of teeth. The surface, still teeming with the mutagenic virus, has become the domain of the dreaded Topsiders; well-organized, technologically advanced, and heavily armed un-mutated humans sworn to exterminate mutations of any kind in order to clear the way for the eventual resurgence of a new, genetically clean humanity. Faced with annihilation, mutants and "impure" humans have retreated into the depths of the planet to form communities and hope to win, or at least survive, what may prove to be mankind's final war. Endtown is the continuing story of one of those communities.

Holly has pretty astute powers of observation.

Oh Flask. You gonna ram this ship into the Topsiders, aren’tcha (or somewhere else very dangerous)? You so cray cray!

Wouldn’t it just be easier to move the sun back to where it was?

pretty sure Aaron knew Flask was on the loose and might even have left the control room open for her to get in to.

Because of his near omnipotence, it’s easy to think of Aaron Marx as omniscient, as well. But I don’t think he was prepared for Petey’s slamming him in the face with the door. And it’s just possible that Flask’s lucky break has caught Mr. Marx with his knickers ’bout his knees.

Holly saw the shadows on the deck
And looked about to see that they had turned
Flask’s bold, as she’d as likely cause a wreck
As work controls that she’s so little learned
At least there’s a tutorial (with face)
But while the folks on deck are in dispute
She’s using time to learn to own the place
Tomorrow’s strip will likely be a beaut!
I don’t think that AM had really planned
To let Flask get to handle the controls
He deals with each event that comes to hand
He seems perplexed at this new change of roles

Interesting body posture on Marx in the last panel. Most artists would have a character just stand there waiting for lines, but Aaron’s showing Marx turning his upper body around to see what Holly’s talking about.

Flask is going to be in so much trouble.

What does one do with an old flying boat?
-If they make an attack, the TS would spot them and could
shoot them down.
-They cannot fly high enough to bring down a satellite.
I doubt AM has a missile launcher or laser on board
(although I suppose its possible).
-They could have a showdown in the control room
over a boat that cannot really be used to attack.
-It probably is not safe to land.
What is Flask doing?

It’s Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. We’re about to enter a thrilling chase sequence.

The girl stood on the turning deck,
When all but she were yappin’,
And saw a clue that something new
Was just about to happen.

“If they make an attack, the TS would spot them and could shoot them down.”
Ditto invisibility shield. There may be more dittos than the ones in the ball that are presently hiding the ship. Or, Mr. Talky Face might also have control over dittos and coerce them away from Marx. Or, the ship itself may have protection systems and weapons that Marx doesn’t know about. Also depends on how quickly the Topsiders can get over their disbelief and mobilize forces to protect the colony dome. Given the internal size of the ship, it may not be that easy to shoot down. All sorts of possibilities for mayhem still exist yet.
