    So Wally kept the badge to never forget what happened.

    Silhouettes are black again to represent the mood of events.

    “So Wally kept the badge to never forget what happened.”

    Implies that Apex either didn’t know what it was for, didn’t care, or wasn’t able to keep Wally from stealing it away at the end.

    I’m sure Apex knew what the badge was for and how they wanted to use it. How better to torture a person; then to have them keep something to remind them of a friend they were ordered to kill.

    I’ve seen actions close to those of Apex in the third world. Blood on everyone’s hands does make it hard for fact finding missions after the fact.

    The Endtown mini-comic that I produced for Comicpalooza 2011 is now available to YOU for the offensively low price of $2.50 (price includes s&h, international add $1 for each copy ordered ). Besides sporting a snazzy full color cover, it contains an all-new 22 page story that is available nowhere else. And just because I feel like doing it, I’ll sign and personalize (if desired) each and every copy I mail out. Simply pay via PayPal using my email address, aaronneathery@gmail.com, and be sure to include your mailing address. If you can’t pay with PayPal, send payment to:
    Aaron Neathery
    PO Box 920558
    Houston, TX 77292
    And, just so you know, I’m completely open to donations. The cat and mouse that live in my head will thank you. :-)
    PS: Original art is still for sale. Contact me at aaronneathery@gmail.com for details

    Worse problem coming. Apex soldiers have set up Wally so that he will kill the teacher. But they can’t leave it at that. There’s no way they would think he will calmly carry on serving with the Apex team and keep his mouth shut. He will have to be silenced, as well as the teacher. The sooner Wally works that out, the better his chance of survival. They will be expecting to eliminate him, as soon as they have the satisfactoin of letting him see what he has done. In that small and unnecessarily sadistic window of opportunity lies Wally’s only chance of escape.
    We know he will escape, but with how much pain?
    Doggone you, Mr Neathery.

    Flask considers Wally to be a very talented agent. She wouldn’t get that impression from just that one operation. I think Wally’s career in her outfit and “following orders” is just beginning.

    @Jenner

    Based on the preview we got via Wally’s dream, I doubt its’ a case of him killing the teacher himself. It was a “hail of bullets” scenario from the whole team. The purpose here is twofold: to eliminate the local resistance (the teacher) and to teach Wally who’s in charge. I’m sure Apex worries little about an individual digruntled employee. They fired Sparky without a second thought and he was a much bigger fish than a low level engineer is a backwater assignment. Wally’s no real threat to Apex. Participation in this raid will forever taint him with the few locals who might have trusted him before, and back home Apex is much too big and established. They couldn’t care less if he stays or goes. Just like Sparky.

    I wonder if Wally and Flask end up unconscious somehow during this raid and the “rebels” set off some sort of Amesworth Radiation producing device. Or maybe, they’re working on research on the radiation, and a sample is released during the raid or something…
