I must be slow. Still doesn’t make sense to me. And love the floppy pinkies.

That’s because Flask is just getting to the details. Wait for it.

All large rockets are just giant fuel tanks with the motors stuck on one end and the payload on the other. You could destroy one with a slingshot if you knew what you were doing.

My money is on “Catastrophic Re-Entry”. Even with no warhead, this thing is based on an ICBM. That’s a looooooot of rocket fuel if it happens to nose-dive on something important instead of going into orbit.

The Endtown mini-comic that I produced for Comicpalooza 2011 is now available to YOU for the offensively low price of $2.50 (price includes s&h, international add $1 for each copy ordered ). Besides sporting a snazzy full color cover, it contains an all-new 22 page story that is available nowhere else. And just because I feel like doing it, I’ll sign and personalize (if desired) each and every copy I mail out. Simply pay via PayPal using my email address, aaronneathery@gmail.com, and be sure to include your mailing address. If you can’t pay with PayPal, send payment to:

And, just so you know, I’m completely open to donations. The cat and mouse that live in my head will thank you. :-)

cats pinkies are located high up on their leg. so the suit’s pinky would be empty

I thought the vestigial dew claw on cat legs was a thumb, not pinkie.

The fuel that it needs to reach orbit
Is all that the vessel can carry
Getting up there will fully absorb it
    Leaving none to be incendiary

Like the Shuttle — its main tank discarded
It must finish with added-on thrust
Those small tanks could be just disregarded
This new rocket won’t have them, I trust

And this spy-sat will not have explosives
It is likely too fragile already
With protection from heat or corrosives
It is vulnerable, if they are ready

I’m surprised at the dangling fingers
These are giveaway-clues on her hands
She should fix this. A notion that lingers:
Does a transporter have rubber bands?

Look closely. All anthros that have fingers only have three.

It makes sense to me. She’s been programming a replacement chip for Wally to swap in the rocket. The chip is programmed to blow up the rocket when Flask triggers it with the handheld. When the Topsiders examine the wreckage, it’ll look like a programming error or circuit glitch.

When this is over, she’s going to have a lot of explaining to refuse to do about how she knows so much about Topsider technology. She can’t dismiss it by saying it’s not rocket science.

Well, yeah. That’s been the standard for cartooning since the early Disney days when they determined how much $$ it would save to have the animators draw all their characters with only three fingers. But now that we’re used to it, it’s almost a requirement for something to look ‘cartoony’.

there will be parts that re-enter, but the satellite will not be among them. It has to be an explosion either during ro after liftoff but in the boost phase. LochNessPickle is right.

All they need is one well placed shot with the guns. I suspect that the guns have range. Actually they then need to get away, and if the shot was too close, that would not happen. But getting into contact range of the craft will be difficult.
