No-one-cares, I realize that conservatives can’t be expected to keep up with world news like DrCanuck does, but the whole POINT of Al-Qaeda was that they didn’t like American troops in Saudi Arabia. Not the Saudi Arabian dictators (they love it, since they couldn’t put together an army of Saudi’s they’d be able to trust), but the people and the radical religious right. What they did on 9/11 was horrific and unjustifiable, but predictable, and what Osama wanted to get out of it was to have the US over-react, attack an Islamic country, and ruin our own economy. Even though that was known at the time from his writings, G.W. Bush in his cowboy mode gave him absolutely everything he wanted, with the bonus of attacking Iraq and violating human rights in Iraq and Cuba, which even Osama couldn’t have dreamed we’d do. What’s scary is that not only has Romney hired most of Bush’s economic team, he’s also got most of Bush’s foreign policy guys.
