My poor mayor is under indictment for bribery. He says he can’t get a fair trial because they arrested him again for extortion a week before the first trial. The local paper, his appointed council,, and many benefactors of his largeness of our tax dollars all say he’s innocent, as he does. I know how to sharpen a pitchfork. Any pointers on how to oil a touch?

Oil torches have too large of a carbon footprint. Use a propane tiger torch instead.

Redistribute the wealth. From each according to his abilities, to each according to his need. Workers of the world, unite!–You have nothing to lose but your chains.

It worked so well in Russia.

Glad you asked, Kim. Communism and fascism are both forms of socialism, the only difference being that the fascists pretend that their centrally managed economies still have private ownership. (Nazi racial doctrine is not essential to fascism. The fascist regimes of Italy, Spain, Argentina, Hungary, Finland, etc., were not particularly racist. Remember, it was an Italian who invented fascism.)

As for your reference to “amerika”, this is a real timewarp from the New Left of the ’60s, whose blatant irrationality so scared the public that they swung toward the Right and elected Reagan and even turned some Democrats into small-government types for a while. (As for Repubs, they pretend to be for small government, then join the Dems to expand it, just not as fast as the Dems would like. No party today is out to defend your rights.)
