    Fang, “Gatorade” is not made from alligators–else it would be horrendously thick; so it is “when life gives you gators, make leather goods” (shoes, coats, luggage, purses, gloves, …).

    Gatorade was named for the Florida Gators, where it was developed. Hence the orange color of the original. Not bad stuff for hang-over recovery, either.

    Yes, the Doctors for the Gators develepoed Gatorade to cool down the players after workouts and during the games.

    I think you all miss the point. The saying is “when life hands you lemons, make lemonade” (making the most of a less than perfect situation)

    This is just a very brilliant play on the words!
