Once upon a time there was a duplex where a young bachelor named Eno and his dog, Fang, shared an ultra-macho haven of beer snacks and male-bonding. Suddenly, their lives turned co-ed when Gina and her poodle, Mitzi, moved into the other half of their building... the question is, who will come out on top in Glenn McCoy’s, The Duplex?

I have always wondered about them lying on the roof. Usually one does that when you have a window that opens to the roof. I’d say about now Fang should begin baying at the moon.

No problem, Snoopy sleeps on the roof all the time.

Where is the device they use to get up there so often?

There is house in my neighborhood where the owners installed a dog door from the second story out onto the roof. Quite often I’ll see two or three dog sitting up there watching the traffic go by.

I’m glad Eno isn’t a friend of mine!

Jazzlily, that is hilarious. Your neighbors must be some real characters.

Freaked me out the first time I saw them out on the roof. I actually stopped the car and knocked on the door to let them know they had dogs on the roof. No one was home. Went to neighbors next door, no one home there either. I was in a hurry so I shrugged my shoulders and left. It was some weeks after that, that I actually noticed the dog door.

When this old world starts a getting me down
And people are just too much for me to face
Ill climb way up to the top of the stairs
And all my cares just drift right into space
