This comic is more a commentary on what we let our kids use as “games” and our degenerating state of entertainment.

Think about it this way - by today’s standard would Kennedy be a democrat? Kennedy would never get his agenda through congress. Too conservative. He would probably fit better as Republican or Libertarian. Oswald would still be left wing socialist but no longer radical.

You jerk! Not in anyone’s world is this amusing in any way. If you had lived through that terrible day and its aftermath in the 1960’s, you would never have considered this commentary. The shock literally rocked the nation, liberals and conservatives alike, and our recovery was painful. Shame on you for this tasteless start to my morning.

    Too soon?

I thought it was funny. If the lefties weren’t so eager to be offended they might see some amusement at him fighting back. I bet these same people would laugh at a joke involving the assassination attempt on Reagan.

I don’t think Glenn is mocking the assassination. He is pointing out the way gaming industry works. And “that” is the point of this cartoon.

Yep - he is mocking those who would mock the assasination.

I see the sad slam as a perfect commentary on how incredibly insensitive and corrupt our world of virtue-reality has become.

    Which Kennedy?

    “Joe_Minotaur says:
    Which Kennedy?”

hmm…This could be a great idea for a game. Dangers on the Hill. Episodes could be “riding with kennedy”, “hunting with cheney”.

Hey, I’m a leftie (well, left handed)

Okay, I’m Canadian, so maybe my take is “off”. But I think it would be way cool to see JFK shoot back, like James Bond or something, eh?

Okay, that didn’t happen. Tragedy happened. But we are talking about a game. People play wargames all the time, for example, re-enacting world war two with all different results. Because it’s a game.

I really don’t think this cartoon has meant to be an insult to any political faction. And perhaps not a poke at the computer games industry as much as “what we would like to have seen”.
