Every day is “Casual Friday” for Dude and Dude. Follow the antics of two carefree dudes looking to make their mark on the world with as little effort as possible. Dude and Dude, the stars of the comic strip, are two young twenty-something’s created by award winning cartoonist Keith Poletiek. Follow along as Keith exposes the mellow, and at times, ambiguous approach to life of these two beach dwellers who live life on their own terms – including such lofty goals as kicking back, generating their own schedules, making friends and, hopefully, scratching up just enough fundage to maintain their own pad, score some wheels, impress some chicks and have enough change left over for as many fish tacos as they can handle…which is a lot!

I’ve never, never been able to accept darts as a ‘sport’.
Or snooker/pool/billiards.
Or synchronised swimming.

Discretion is the better part of valor, there is no shame in retreat, and there’s an exit just to your right- I suggest you put it to use!

There’s a sports columnist around these parts who insists that any sport that requires judges to determine a winner is no sport at all. By that standard, if a boxing match ends with one fighter flat on the canvas, it’s a sport; but if it goes the distance and goes to the cards, it’s not?

I have no idea what Nascar is.
Bowling is, I agree, not a sport. Bowls, however, may be.
I have to disagree regarding soccer. Played properly, as it is here in the North East of England, it is not merely a sport – it is a blood sport!

I agree – neither of those are sports (though they may be ‘sports’), and a judging panel does squash the whole idea of sporting excellence, though KM has made an interesting comment about boxing matches.
However, boxing could be defined as a sport in that two supremely fit and well-trained individuals are competing against each other. Personally I regard boxing more as keeping Head Injury Units in work.
Can I add that there is no way that pro wrestling is a sport (no-one has mentioned it, so I thought I would). It is more a clumsy ballet with bellies and beards . . .
