    Not quite the same thing. While there is such a thing as real mental illness, the PC crowd has, as is typical, expanded the meaning to excuse a wide range of bad behavior that does not fit into the mental illness category.

    Dang. It’s the PC Crowd wot did it? Used to be that if a kid had (what’s now known as) ADHD, you’d just beat it out of ‘im. And a soldier with “Combat Fatigue” was just a stinkn’, no-good yella-belly.

    And if that kid had near-sightedness, well, you just beat ’im some more. Same difference.
