Glenn Greenwald has some lying, misleading words on the subject.

He claims, just because the traitor Snowden gave the world irrefutable proof, that a lot of the NSA spying is to provide very valuable economic information about the activities of, well, just about everyone, to US CEOs (in exchange for very reasonable amounts of baksheesh).

The bugging of Merkel started under Bush in 2002. Who knows what else Bush has done that is being kept from Obama’s attention?

I’m absolutely no fan of Bush’s presidency, but this is supposed to be the most transparent administration ever, words that Obama committed to, and on which he did not deliver. Additionally, since the leaks, this administration has prevaricated every step of the way. Either he doesn’t know what’s going on, which shows his incompetency, or he knows, which shows his duplicity.

Being President is a soft job, not much responsibility and lots of extra time to diddle about tiny micromanaging details.
    .
The President should have time to know all the leftovers from the previous 8 years, what else does he have to do?
    .
Certainly there are no current matters needing attention. At least no matters more important than sanitizing the past.
    .
Silly is the word I use a lot, it does not get me censored and really does fit quite a few rather silly comments.

At what point in the Obama administration will you blame Obama for his actions rather than Bush? My guess, never.

The president has been in charge for about five years. In that time he has spent enough to cause the increase to our debt by more than president bush did in eight years while fighting two wars. It’s quite the record.
