   The recent election gives me hope that a majority of Americans can see the short sightedness of the tea party/led-by-the-nose/semi literate, Republican supporting mob.Hopefully, 2014 will give Congress back to the Left. Democrats have always believed in a balanced budget. Republicans believe in FDIC because this allows minimum wage workers to augment their income, saving Walmart(among many) $billions in wages and benefits. All at the expense of the Middle Class.

Morty was trying to be funny, some of us, actually most of us who aren’t wrapped up in our “twist everything to make if President Obama’s fault because we can’t survive the scrutiny” crowd would understand that.     Entitlements, you mean like the Social Security (that I don’t receive) that a “tax” was specifically paid for,but the funds were looted because today’s new recipients didn’t want to pay the taxes required to support the government they demanded yesterday? Sound familiar? The republicans (reDUMBlican really fits in this case) are too short-sighted to see that their demands for LOWER, lower and ever lower taxes is crippling this country and it’s Constitutional requirements and is forcing deficit spending. But then again they are too selfish to put the good of the whole above the demands of themselves.

    I just love how Obama played the Republicans like a cheap fiddle. If the GOP goes along with him, they are seen as caving in and if they obstruct him, they are seen as increasing taxes on the middle class.
