Interesting that some of the Repubs were happy to have not won the Senate.

Now when they find themselves unable to clean up Bush’s mess during the next two years, they’ll be able to say it’s because they didn’t win the Senate….

They do have an idea that’s not just tax cuts: tax cuts for the wealthiest 1% of americans.

The funny bit is that there’s zero proposals out there for reducing spending, except for the perennial “get rid of the dept. of Education” and “cutting fraud and waste”.

I did not know Obama was a Republican, because you just described him to a ‘T’

howie, I should have written my comments differently, to indicate I was putting words into the mouth of the GOP funt talking to other GOP funts. I wasn’t talking to the posters. Was trying to indicate that if the GOP intends to govern, and not just campaign for 2012, it has to have concrete ideas of its own to improve economy, reduce deficit, fix broken healthcare system, etc. If the next two years turns into one long campaign for 2012 (as McConnell keeps saying) then the voters will turn out the GOP too.

I think everyone is sick of the hyper-partisanship.

GOOD GRIEF! If tax cuts actually helped economies, then the massive Bush tax cuts should have resulted in prosperity all around.

Instead, it collapsed the economy. Have you Rednecks NO memory of the past 10 years?

Dr. C, if they did, there is no way Republicans would have won the House. For that matter, the American people would have pushed Obama to the LEFT rather than the centre.

I wonder how many Tea Partiers will recommend spending reductions with regards to defense or campaign financing???
