The poor guys were out of work how many weeks? I say a lawsuit is in order. One industry should not have the right to destroy another.

We’ve been poisoning the Gulf, well the oceans too, for a long time- plus over-extracting those “food crop” species- even sharks- “payback” is just around the corner, oil just pushed us further into it.

The Los Angeles Times has a front page story (louis.sahaguh@latimes.com) about the fact that many commercial fisherman prefer working for BP on the cleanup because it is better then shrimping and they like the steady pay.
In an attempt to improve public relations BP is keeping many of them on even though most of the spill has been cleared up.
As one fishing boat captain put it: “BP is going out of it’s way to make us happy. We haven’t found any oil to burn in quite awhile but BP still pays us for everything - gas, food, crew, and our pay!”
Isn’t life interesting?
