    I HATE it when sports delays or preempts programs. I don’t watch much TV to begin with. Give sports their own channels.

    It’s ok, put in a payphone and you’ll easily make your money back.

    @Clark Kent

    Clark, you’re not alone, but you are in a very small group. Even sports fans dislike it when a program they want to watch is preempted by a game or team for which they have no interest, but depending on your viewing package and internet connection, you have ample distractions to which you can turn.
    There’s also these really neat things called “Books”. No commercials, and the only interruptions come from telephone calls, door bells, or any other living creatures in your home demanding attention.
    It’s all about ad revenue. If you have the money, you can make the programming plans.
    Tiredly,
    C.

    This week the men’s BMW Golf championship was rain delayed and the LPGA event was shortened to 54 holes because of rain. It seems like a lot of sports events are getting rained on or out.

    @Genome Project

    Not my show, GP…
    I have five cousins whose lives have been destroyed by methamphetamine and I found the show too painful to watch despite the quality of the writing and acting. Glad you enjoyed it though. It’s like my kids enjoying Walking Dead, I’ll never enjoy it, but if everyone was like me(the shuddering begins)…. ok… the shaking and screaming is done now… i’ll be ok.
    I prefer a diverse world with all sorts of likes and dislikes – civil and respectful – but diverse and rich with all the flavors, sounds, textures, smells, and colors the universe can provide.
    A world of Respectful Trolls might be polite, but I don’t think it would be too interesting.
    Respectfully,
    C.

    @PAJ

    Haven’t watched Discovery or the History Channel for a few years, have you, PAJ? Once they “discovered” how easy it was to produce reality shows as opposed to researching anything that might be educational, they (History, TLC, Discovery, Animal Planet, all part of Discovery Networks), they have been flooding the schedule with crap like Honey Boo Boo and Duck Dynasty – stupid people doing stupid things. Better off going to the library or the book store (if you have any left around you). All part of the dumbing down of the American public.

    Nah. I prefer fictional people to real ones. More complex.
