Use performance-enhancing drugs? Lie about it? Please. The fans would forgive him for running a bus full of orphans and nuns off a cliff, so long as he didn’t do something TRULY unforgivable. Like, you know, lose games.

Interesting. I wonder what would have happened had he played for the Yankees. They still have A-Roid (mis-spelled intentionally), and although there have been many threats, he still remains relatively untouched. Sort of like when Steve Howe was “banned from baseball” seven different times. Oh, yeah, didn’t he play for the Yankees?

True, but not true enough: The NFL player would demand an appeal, and after arbitration would be required to make a commercial: “Hi. I’m a tight end. I don’t take drugs. Thank you.”

    - As a Dodger fan, this makes me especially mad; Braun now officially stole the 2011 MVP from Matt Kemp.

    - This had more to do with that huge contract he signed with the Yankees; they really want to get rid of him, but are hamstrung as to how.

    - If by “untouched” you mean by MLB, the rumor is he’ll be banned for life.
