Lacey is already sharing her wisdom.

If there were more Repubs like Lacey around, their approval rating might be higher than head lice.

Well said. (And written as an ex-republican)

Funny. Back when this was written, I was a Republican. That played out after 1980, when the party started to get obsessed with insanities and idiocies, and decided that Jesus Christ had a political position on the ownership of the Panama Canal.

I would love to have a choice of parties but the Republicans have become the lunatic fringe, they should just change the name to the John Birch Society Party. Not only that but they are traitors to America. The way this has gone down, after W and them almost threw us and the world into a depression, the GOP gets together and says our goal is to destroy this President, this is nothing but treason against the people of this country. Any rational person in this country only has the Democrats to look to for sanity and that’s not good as they’re no gift but caught up in the same corrupt system, but the Birchers/GOP are just traitors/bigots/sexists/and corporate shills to the nth degree and hate America and its people. If that sounds extreme, it’s because it’s describing extremists. The white male world is over boys, we’re not going back to the 50’s (1950’s,1850’s,1750’s, or 1650’s). Ever.

It should not be forgotten that (we) Dems had a finger in that fiasco, as well. B. Clinton worked hard to create the legislative environment from which came near financial ruin for the non-wealthy. It took both sides of the isle and a willing president (Clinton) to effect Financial Services Modernization Act of 1999, the tool with which financial collapse forged.

Let’s face it we are paralleling The Roman Empire. Our politicians are self serving and corrupt, Our infrastructure is dissolving, our People are more interested in Bread and Circuses than working with one another to solve the problems facing us and the world. And most people are sure its the other Party’s fault and everything would be fine if those losers in the other Party would just let their guys run everything, evidence to the contrary.

Right now we are paralleling the Roman Republic as its external empire grew. And they had two choices. Dismantle that growing empire and stay a republic, or embrace the empire and become one all the way. We are approaching it and the ones who have instigated it want an empire.

“the GOP gets together and says our goal is to destroy this President, this is nothing but treason "
    .
Nah, they didn’t all get together.
They didn’t say they wanted to destroy him, just to foil what they saw as a plan to destroy America.
And it wouldn’t be treason, therefore, if the goal were to save America from what they considered an attempt to destroy it.
    .
Thankfully, they were wrong and he has flawlessly carried out his sworn duties to faithfully carry out the laws of the nation and keep us safe from those who would destroy us.
