    Just for that, I’m going to suggest that you read today’s “Mother Goose and Grimm.”

    Wish they hadn’t skipped over the wheat patch arc, it’s a good one

    I don’t know if you see these comments or not Garry; but I’m terminating our 30+ year relationship. I do not live in the past and I’m spoiled by the strips from today, which ruins the strips from the past. I know this won’t affect your income, and I don’t want it to. I just wanted to thank you for being part of my mornings for the past 3 decades. Goodbye.

    @grandpa1

    Patience, Gradpa…all is explained here:
    “Welcome to ‘Classic Doonesbury.’ In selecting the strips for this retrospective journey, we’re going deep, literally back to Day One. Revisiting four weeks of strips from every year of syndication, I hope to hit many ‘Doonesbury’ high points, focusing on how the characters (over 75 of them) got involved with one another. Since their lives have always been bound up in the events of the day, it should be a kind of déjà vu for my peers, and maybe a ‘What were you people thinking?’ for newer readers. I hope all of you will enjoy the trip.”

    Greedy manipulative Zonker.
    On the other hand, since we LIKE him, it’s okay and normal.
    When it is done by those we DISLIKE however, . . .

    Going back in time, what a wonderful idea, reviewing the genius of GT. For you younger fans there is the Sunday strip and the fabulous Alpha House.

    Hey, grandpa, from one to another: some of us are enjoying the stroll down memory lane, remembering the “good old days” when we saw these strips for the first time. Gotta go there before the street disappears completely.

    @Lorenzo Browncoat

    (Oh my God, I’m replying to myself now.) Forgot to add, there were periods in my life when I didn’t read the papers, let alone the comics, for years. Some of this stuff will be NEW, at least to me.
