Not exactly a standard sitrep, is it?

George, like BD, is a grunt. They will write a report that will make BD look like a hero.

I’m sorry, but I genuinely don’t understand why you’re so upset. How has the re-running of strips that you enjoy spoiled them for you? I’m not trying to be dismissive of your feelings, but I really don’t get it.
    (What are TL:DR types?)

I never got to see these. I was about 12 when the strip began, and in a very conservative area, so I first saw the strip when I went to college. It’s interesting to see the beginning, since I always had the feeling of coming late to the party.

I thought of the film “Enemy Mine.” Although I can’t imagine either one of them as Louis Gosset Jr.

Better start running “worst of” strips that have never been reprinted before, Mr. Trudeau. As you know, it’s all about c. davies and his book.

From an old Tom Paxton song: “We have met the enemy and he is smashed!”

You have got to remember that we are not you. I don’t have any of the books so this is a first time for me. Let us enjoy it. Stop being so insular and selfish. As you may know we are not even getting all of the originals rerun. So you have us beat.

I wrote a sitrep in Bosnia where I recounted meeting the mamyor of a town and his secretary, and I threw in the aside: “who is a major babe.” I knew when my team chief read it from the laughter. He sent it on. I think it went all the way to the Commanding General.
