Yes, this “Doonesbury” is a rerun. Garry Trudeau is on hiatus, as he works on another project. New strips should return in September.
So far, only a pilot has been produced for “Alpha House,” which was debuted online in April. In May, Amazon gave the green light for more episodes:

Oh Boy, I’m probably going to get my head handed to me for this, but here goes.

I have to admire the way people in Egypt in the past year, have willingly gone into the streets and put their lives on the line for their beliefs.
Can’t help but wonder if out constitutional rights in this country would be so eroded if we did the same.

Well, look at it this way…if McCain had won in 2008, there would be 25,000 U.S. Troops in Bezerkistan fighting and dying for no damn good reason, just like in Afghanistan…

oh. a communication between two parties inside a set of parenthesis’ indicates they are speaking not speaking in English.
or, maybe they’re practicing thought transference

I, too, flagged this. You’re entitled to your political opinions – as blockheaded as I might think they are – but that’s an offensive term.

Well said! The truth of your comment will probably be ignored in this PC spawning ground, but actual history has never been much of an impediment to a certain type of thinking.

You do understand quite how offensive “wog” is? Certainly on this side of the Pond, anyway, it’s the equivalent of the n-word. Having looked it up, it seems to be known only in British and Australian English, but that doesn’t make it acceptable to use.

Name a single constitutional right that you had under Bush but do not have under Obama.

For that matter, if you actually believe all this stuff about the erosion of your constitutional rights and how oppressed you are, why HAVEN’T you taken to the streets? God knows you have the right to arm yourself like a mujahideen. Has all the chest-thumping about being true American patriots, all the talk about the tree of liberty and the blood of tyrants, all the weapons brought to the town hall meetings been nothing but preening political theater?

Tell me what kind of dictator do we need to keep us “woggery” under control in your eyes?

The way the Egyption military pulled the Rope a Dope on Morsi, the Muslim Botherhood and their buddies Hamas, et al, and our backing of that move implicitly; should be enough to indicate that it is MORE than time to wax nostalgic about the Arab dictators who previously kept a lid on the Salifists.

The US essentially backs the Military which is the real power of Egypt.Certainly not democracy which only lasted one time at vote. The US tends to like dictators over democracies.
