I love Alex and Radar, they are a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e…
    Favorite characters of the strip.

Yeah, they had her pregnant and on

    the ground, at graduation, surrounded
by a crowd, in labor with twin baby
boys, preparing to give birth. That has been so long ago, and I guess they just left it there.
Think somebody said the writer went on
vacation. These are reruns, old strips.

I think his name is Toggle (like the switch).
But I agree with you, they are a great couple.
They compliment each other well, and their combined sum is greater than their individual parts. The best couple in the Donnesbury-verse.

If I recall the back story, he became known as “Toggle” in Iraq because he was an electronics geek, and yet a toggle switch is so analog in this digital touch screen world.
It be like being called “Beta-max” or “8 Track.”
Not a bad handle, just a bit dated.

If all couples complemented one another like these two, there would certainly be far fewer divorces. I’ve been married 23 years and we are finally getting to the point where we really get one another. It is a good feeling.

GT is not on vacation, he is working on a new project this summer, the strip will be back out of reruns after Labor Day.

Actually, I think it’s shock. If you go back to the May 17 one I linked to a couple of days back he isn’t wide eyed, because he hasn’t realised what Joanie is talking about…

    Toggle is binary. On/Off, 0/1..
    Like digital not analog

    @Whizzer42

I was going to write that. How much more binary can you be than a toggle switch, BUT, a toggle switch can also be considered tri-state, if you think about it.

Alex is very empathic with Toggle.

Looking at the ‘85 strip it’s amazing how succinctly GT managed to distill a painful, complex topic into a four-panel strip. Genius.
