    I was fortunate that my husband liked my parents. In the end, it was only moi he didn’t like; after our divorce, he made a point of hugging my mother when he ran into her somewhere. It made her day then, and she still mentions it occasionally, ten years later!

    @Newshound41
    In reference to your last comment before the changeover, I did have the extreme pleasure of seeing Mr. Aaron play. When I got back from Nam I was stationed in Atlanta. I would get seats about five or six rows up from the Braves dugout for six or seven dollars. I got to see Aaron, of course. But also Clemente, Mays, Stargill, Joe Torre(he played for the Braves for awhile) and the list goes on. I have great memories of Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium and the games I went to. Thanks for reminding me that there is more to life than politics. God Bless you, Sir.

    I have said many times, the 3 things I love the most:
    1- My family
    2- the city I live in
    3- baseball
    It is a beautiful game.

    I am also an ADD kid but I can recall a game from the Mets vs Reds from 1974 play by play. Watching Tom Seaver pitch was a great joy.
