After reading many posts on this and other strips, I’ve come to the conclusion that the best comic message board are the ones associated with Brooke McEldowney’s strips. Go to Pibgorn or 9 Chickweed Lane and you’ll see what I mean.

@Clark Kent. When the only way ObamaCare could pass constitutional muster was to have it declared a tax, the honorable thing to do would have been to scrap it and try to gets Congress, and the American public, to accept it as a tax hike. You didn’t see Obama or any other Democrat consider such an “honorable” course of action.

If Katrina happened on Obama’s watch, Option 3 would be to ask not to be bothered till after his 18 holes were finished.

Katrina did happen on Obama’s watch; it was called Sandy and this what Republican Chris Christie said earlier this week, “The president has kept every promise that he made."

This, and Obama’s reaction to the West, Texas explosion shows that he understands what Reagan and the Bushes never did:
The President is the President of the ENTIRE country, not just the parts that voted for him!

If McEldwney had had comments blocked when I first started following Pibgorn, I probably would have given up on it. The comments told me who the characters were and what they were doing.

That’s what the comments here should be for as well, unfortunately this board is frequently hijacked by ideologues looking for a soapbox

Trolls are easy to spot and likewise should be easy to ignore

Anytime you see half a dozen or more posts in a row from the same person, the only attention they likely deserve is flagging

Oh, you don’t have to look too concerned; there won’t be any tv cameras watching.

You are right, of course, but Doonesbury has been a political strip most of the time since its inception during the Vietnam War. The McEldowney strips frequently make biting social comments. All three are among my favorites.

I read Doonesbury for the posts, I read Dilbert because I don’t have to work any more.
