   If I’m being introduced to someone before I know they stutter, I may accidently mistake what they’re doing, and prompt what they’re trying to say. I did that once when I was young, and I later felt horrible about it. But with years come (some) wisdom. :D I’ve learned to wait and listen, in conversations. So, Alex handled this well; she gets him.

   It usually takes years of marriage to be able to finish your loved one’s thoughts. These two are great together. Should have been a V Day strip.

    “Word Salad”! Brilliant!
    I know a few people who have disabilities, and love the fact that they actually can joke about them in a gentle way.
    Even my Mother who was suffering from short-term memory loss before she passed thought that it was amusing.
    I would tell her that she was very easy to do Christmas Shopping for, because all I had to do was come to her place in the Assisted Living facility, borrow something she already had, take it home and wrap it, and give it back to her, since would not remember owning it in the first place.
    She thought that was the funniest thing she had EVER heard!
    Toggle is another one who won’t let himself sink into despair!
