Boopsie is a bit more inclined to believe in it than BD.

Ah, I remember the great Harmonic Convergence weekend back in the eighties. Either the end of the world, or a new birth of consciousness, Boopsie said, “Either way, there’ll be a crafts fair.”

The only long count BD knows about is when he was trying to draw the opposing defense offside.

@Borntalkingback: I remember the great Harmonic Convergence, too. Isn’t that when BD said “Bring on the nukes!”?

Lessee… What possibly good movies open Friday? I wanna be with a tub of popcorn, and Mama, in my lap when the lights go out!

My wife is getting an endoscopy on the 21st. With her luck, the world will end during the procedure, and she’ll spend eternity with a tube down her nose.

    IT’S ALL OBAMA’S FAULT

“The Mayans were right, as it turns out, when they predicted the world would end in 2012. It was just a select world: the G.O.P. universe of arrogant, uptight, entitled, bossy, retrogressive white guys. … [T]he Republican decline will be traced to a stubborn refusal to adapt to a world where poor people and sick people and black people and brown people and female people and gay people count.”

—New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd

Oh yeah, bird55, I know your post is ironical sarcasm,. But what about me? I paid into Medicare and Social Security all my working life, starting at age 15 (and I have 15 years of education, ending in an advanced degree).

Now, do you think Grover Norquist should take them away from me?

Only 15??? How do you count?

K-12 is usually 13, BS/BA +4 & MS/MBA another 1 or 2. And that is for those fortunate enough to not have to work full time while going through college.

One of my friend’s kid said, “If the world is going to end on December 21st, shouldn’t we open our Christmas presents today?”
