Getting married is a double edged sword.

But Kim IS a bed of roses — complete with both pretty blossoms and sharp thorns.

My first marriage was like a bed of poison ivy.

It’s funny how the folks I know who swore they never argued ended up getting divorced. When you get married, you knowingly step into a bed of compromises. It’s not for everyone, it’s not easy, but it is good.

My first marriage was a Bed of Roses! She’s not among us anymore. My second wife was not happy at all.

You guys do realize that lawyers are behind this…with Gay Marriages there are more; prenups, adoptions, separations, divorces, support, child support and settlements, all of course with the appropriate billable hours and fees.

We’ve always had (about) ten percent. That’s ten percent that would have been missing all that drama! And the fees!

Mark, you still haven’t tried juggling three babies AND a running chainsaw? Of COURSE it takes work, and practice, and we don’t always get it right the first time. #1 daughter still doesn’t talk to me, and now SHE has grandkids.

Still working on the first. Two days ago, both of us forgot it was our 32nd anniversary. We’re perfect for each other.

It’s an election year so politics is a hot topic.

It’s also a repeat, which tends to garner fewer comments no matter the topic.

" A living doll, everywhere you look.
It can sew, it can cook,
    It can talk, talk, talk . . . .
My boy, it’s your last resort.
Will you marry it, marry it, marry it. "
