"Garry Trudeau is the premier American social and political satirist of his time." -Newsweek Doonesbury has managed to be articulate, abrasive, political, compassionate, misunderstood, misprinted, and outrageous - but one thing it's never been is complacent. Garry Trudeau's creation has chronicled American history and culture in a parallel universe. And through it all, Doonesbury has always been honest, entertaining, and thought-provoking.

nytimes.com- the editorial and opinion page has a liberal bias but the reporting is thorough and balanced.

Print media gives way to e-media, while e-media trivializes.

Reality has a liberal bias.
There is no truth in news and there is no news in truth. Russian saying

how can an opinion page be biased? what do you think an opinion is?

And why are we all indoors?

Ditto for the Wall Street Journal. Their editorial board may be a bunch of neocon troglodytes, but when it comes to telling the straight scoop about where the money is coming from and going to, nobody beats their news department. Too many movers and shakers rely on them to get it right.

An opinion isn’t necessarily biased; it can be fair and balanced.

And why is it that those who are here are not all there?

Urp. Slop. Oh, excuse me.

All newspaper editorial pages reflect the paper’s philosophy. I mentioned the liberal bias because I wanted people to know that it didn’t extend to way they reported the news.

WSJ = WSU. U = urinal.

@Richard S. Russell
In college, my professor- who was a liberal Democrat- used WSJ as an example of good reporting. We used to read articles in the WSJ in our Journalism class.

LWP, when you were taking journalism, the WSJ wasn’t owned by the Rupert Murdoch empire, was it?

DTπ,
I disagree with the editorial page of the WSJ as much as anybody, but give credit where credit is due. They do a real good job of reporting.
For business news, I would recommend Bloomberg.
DylanThomas3.14159 said, 8 months ago
LWP, So you don’t expect WSJ news to begin to crumble under the weight of the Murdoch empire? I mean, the reporters may be good, but when a piece of investigative journalism begins to eat into the empire’s interests, isn’t the reporter likely to be fired if she doesn’t back off?
