"Garry Trudeau is the premier American social and political satirist of his time." -Newsweek Doonesbury has managed to be articulate, abrasive, political, compassionate, misunderstood, misprinted, and outrageous - but one thing it's never been is complacent. Garry Trudeau's creation has chronicled American history and culture in a parallel universe. And through it all, Doonesbury has always been honest, entertaining, and thought-provoking.

Well, they can certainly ‘tie the knot’ securely.

When the world is invaded by giant cat-like aliens, we’ll be thankful for that giant ball of twine…

Zipper is a loser, but this strip still reminded me of one of the many reasons I hate Facebook. Like we don’t have enough ways to get hurt as it is.

Oooh…I hope they go to Liberal, KS to see the Dorothy Museum!

I must admit seeking out local attractions wouldn’t be my idea of a honeymoon, but to each his own. That’’s something you do 10 years down the road when you go on vacation with a couple of kids in tow.

Pfffff! That’s nothing! You should have seen the ball of string my Nana made by saving odd little ends of the stuff and knotting them together for when she needed some. Not only HUGE but also LumPy.
She never threw anything away. Her legacy to us was two tons of old magazines, millions of plastic margarine cartons, 22 bags of clothing that weren’t fit even to dump, a walk-in larder full of chipped and mis-matched crockery (and I mean FULL) and more dead mice than you would ever want to see.
I wish I could say I remember her fondly, but she was a nightmare, alive and dead.

It’s a shame they’re fictional characters and I can’t get their personal information from Facebook and rob them while they’re away from home.

My wife and I both have Facebook – but we never say anything about our vacations until after we’re back. Or if I travel for work – that’s just not on there. Facebook isn’t horrible – just needs to be used with discretion.

And by the way, I think Alex and Leo are cute in this sequence. I predict a long, loving albeit fictional marriage.
