The Tea Party has a very low bar for sanity.

Question: How vulnerable is Scott Brown? Just heard on news about a poll that says Americans as a whole blame the GOPpers more than the DEMob or the White House for the recent debacle on the Hill that resulted in Standard & Poor’s downgrading of U.S. credit rating from AAA to AA+. That can’t be a bad sign for Joanie and the newly “on board” Jeff.

The question should be who the people will be mad at in November 2012. If they realize the TP are fanatics who are willing to destroy this country in the name of ideology, then Brown is vulnerable. If they blame Obama, then we will have GOP sweep.

Yes, the Tea Party are insane fanatics who want to destroy the country by not spending several trillion more than we take in. Unlike the folks currently in power who have spent insane amounts of money and brought us a 9%+ unemployment rate, $5 a gallon gasoline, and an AA+ credit rating.
By all means, let’s keep these insane people OUT Of government and let the sane ones keep taking us down this road that is SOO good for us all!

Weeeell, good bud LWP, we have to mentally separate Mass. from the rest of the country, since it’s arguably the most liberal State. Plus you’ve got the legacy of the late, the loved Teddy Bare (oops, Teddy Bear). Trudeau has chosen well. MA’s the best target for his strips, which must be planned weeks, if not months, in advance. What’s gonna be fun is watching Jeff screw up, then — because of his unbelievable good luck — come off unscathed. Wonder how GT’s gonna handle Jeff’s outstanding $50M, debt to Overkill, for instance.

Maybe Jeff can promise Overkill a government contract if Warren is elected senator.

The insane Tea Party is IN government. That is why were held hostage by them until the last minute and that is why we have AA+ rating We were losing jobs at a rate of 600,000 a month even before Obama took the oath of office. Bush turned surpluses into record deficits. He started a war based on lies and imposed tax cuts that benefited the top 1%. The US was paying off its debt before GWB took office. We are cleaning up a mess that was created by the previous administration and ideologues who refuse to raise taxes on the rich even when it makes sense to do so.

I think Jeff has had — up to the point where Joanie is finally getting through to him, in any case — a Teapartier mentality, what with the CIA and all. Ordinary “folks at home” TPs (don’t think “toilet paper”, all you minds out there) must not realize that the Senate and House is stuffed with people who are owned by the wealthy fascist multinationalers (WFMs), some of which pay no or almost no taxes at all. Above all else they want to keep the $$$$ that Bush gave them. What these truly patriotic “folks at home” TPs have yet to learn is the harsh fact that the WFMs don’t give a spit about patriotism, “we the people”, democracy, service to country, or anything else I at least care deeply about. That’s what I have in common with these “folks at home” TPs. And that’s what, hopefully, will win them over. We do not, repeat do not, want to think of them as “the enemy”. They’re not; they’re just being screwed by the WFMs and don’t know it. Not yet at least. Go Jeff!

Unfortunately, I fear 2012 will not be pretty. We’re taking one trillion $ out of an economy that is already struggling to stay afloat let alone recover. With that hit we will probably be in a recession next year.
Two things seem to be true about American politics:
    1) If the economy is good almost anything goes and the people are happy. If the economy is bad, the people look for someone to blame (never themselves).
    2) Voters have very short memories and it is the always the current administration that gets blamed for any problems. Bush’s misguided wars have already cost us over $1.2 trillion out-of-pocket (and counting). And that is not counting the give-aways to the oil companies and other corporate cronies. Yet it is Obama that is being blamed for the debt and the high unemployment.
    I have little hope.
