   What he needs to do is funnel the f22 money into a larger fleet of drones, and sent them into pakiland to shock and awe. I wonder what his response would be if OBL was found to be living in Islamabad. You guys do realize that the Paki’s never set out to eradicate AQ or the Taliban. They only used the cheney endowments to arm themselves for war with India and buy mansions for their generals.

   Is this his way of stroking the Army while ignoring his generals’ requests? Is this how to show he supports the troops without actually helping any of the troops? Is this a way to keep the bad taste of Vietnam in our mouths in the hope it will turn the public against the current war?

   Yeah, probably all the above.

   Funny fact - a radio station in my area played this thing called, “President Bush’s Plan to Blow Up The Moon” back in 2006. What is it about the moon going “boom” that seems to be so universally recognized as a, “Ah, what the hell, might as well do it,” action?

    Soldier’s bravery is completely disconnected to the civilian authorities’ crime of having sent us to that war. “Half a league, half a league ……”

    You must be thinking of the Bush admin. here. Where the general in Tampa overruled the intelligence from the special forces on the ground. Where the SECDEF dithered in personally deciding which man would move in country while 50,000 Al Qaeda, IMU and Taliban including the Big three were allowed to disperse while the 10th Mountain units cooled their heels at K2.

    The public has BEEN against the war for years. It would have been against the war at its inception had the Bush Admin not lied with every breath.
