A (sound) recording studio is implied from the first panel, and from previous episodes showing Toggle at the controls in a recording studio.
In general usage, you would not say you were going to open a studio apartment, but you might open an artist’s studio or a recording studio. Open here is as in “open for business.”
Drew, the blonde, is Alex’s smarter room-mate at MIT. Drew’s comment only refers to the fact that Alex tends to hyperbole. Comparing Toggle’s modest effort to Abbey Road is hyperbole, until shown otherwise.
And now, having presumed to lecture on the english language, I shall vanish before the english majors sue for trepress….

She’s just too enthusiastic for her own good. Sometimes. Very endearing, anyhow.

Boy’s got his head together (well almost all of it)! Sounds like a sound idea.

Blonde girl (sorry, we haven’t been introduced properly) seems to enjoy taking the fun out of it

Umm.. punch line? Abbey Road? Does she imply that Abbey Road was a powerhouse and Toogle’s will not be one for a while?
Two strange things: Leo can type in complete sentences! I thought no kids did that anymore! and, the kid knows beatletrivia?

Leo types in complete sentences, but the girl uses abbreviations in speech.

Leo, aka Toggle, is NOT a kid or a boy.
Although he suffered a head trauma in the war, he can type easier than he can speak. Besides, he probably has a spell check program in his computer.
He did not say he was going to open his own studio; he said he was thinking about it.
Alex got carried away and exaggerated what he said.
The blonde girl is her room mate at college.
“OMG” stands for “oh, my god!” and the letters and the exclamatory phrase are rarely used by church goers.
My father considered the phrase equal to swearing.
People who also say “I swear to God” either don’t know or forgot that Jesus said not to swear by anything.

Doesn’t matter what Leo does as long as he can escape his over-possessive mother.

Did he say he wanted to open up a RECORDING studio?
Is that the only kind of studio? Studio apartment, maybe?

All ofv you forgot that movies and TV shows are recorded in a studio, could that be what he means? Just a thought.
Khard12 said, about 1 month ago
It could have been a dance studio or a photography/art studio. Good thing she clarified it for her roomie.
Dora Dingle said, about 1 month ago
Maybe the recording studio is his computer.
