gee1a I agree with Ravenswing. This site is so much better with Firefox and with AdBlock (http://adblockplus.org/en/installation). While being a Genius does not cost a lot, this other stuff is free. I’d happily become a genius if gocomics would just reply to one of the feedbacks I’ve sent about the virus that come with some of these ads.
There was a time when Zonker couldn’t hear the plants.
He was musing about it and wondered why they had stopped.
In the last panel, after he walked away, one of the plants said
“It was the drugs, dude”
Zonker can hear the plants again.
Hmmmmmmm……….
I have the “adclick” pop-up disabled with my security program.
I am currently using Internet Explorer.
Back in the early 1960s, my family went down to Stillwell, Oklahoma to pick fresh strawberries. The town has a Strawberry Fesitival every year.
The strawberry plants seemed to have been planted in white flint rock fields. Flint rocks in Eastern Oklahoma can be very sharp. One time while traveling on a gravel road, we had a flat tire and it was caused by a sharp flint rock.
The Stillwell Pie company is now a Mrs. Smith’s Pie company, one of the Schwan Food Companies.
Zonker needs to make some raised flower beds and then plant the bulbs in them.

Zonker has always talked to the plants. Ah, yes that wonder New England soil! So excellent for growing rock walls.

Easy enough; set your browser to suppress popups. Go Firefox!

Zonker’s clean, but his brain is damaged. Are there any characters in the strip that are actually doing drugs?

Off topic here but what’s with all the pop ups now UCOMICS/GOCOMICS stop with the pop ups, enough of the advertising.
We went through this on the Pibgorn comments list; one of the regulars there created this topic at the “Pibby on the Fly” forum.
The offending advertiser appears to be adclick - once i added them to my “Blocked Content” list in Opera, the pop-ups went away.

come Spring we will see whether chi-chi bulbs will root in rocky soil.
my wild roadside cornflowers refused to root in chi-chi soil,
no matter how sweetly I talked to them…..

Looks like Zonker harvested some of his mushrooms to get into the mood for planting bulbs.

Anyone can talk to plants. The amazing thing is to get the plants to talk back!

Even on mushrooms none of my plants talked to me- they only changed colors.
Ah, memories.

Last week, I had problems with pop-ups when I enlarged the strips. When I reduced them, the pop-ups disappeared.
