And this is more efficient and cost-effective than handling the mail domestically? Pray tell, explain how, O mighty multinational conglomerates!

see,i’m still of the opinion that zonker is a productive member of our doonesbury society.
he works a bleeep job at stupid meals,
helps deliver the mail, which he did so beautifully about 3 decades ago, and, unlike zipper, does not justify or
pronounce absolution on his indigence.or indulgence.
he is a force,or lack of force of nature..
like the plants he talks to.to whom he talks.

Re: Ol’ Mail Silo; Reminds me of a class in Medical Claims & Billing. Hand PRINTED insurance forms get mailed to where folks “scan” them into the system & forward to Insurance Co’s for processing/payment.

When the computers go DOWN - the Paperwork Stack gets HUGE!!!! Yep, Ol’ Mail Silo - know that one pretty well from other jobs.

Electronic Medical Records & Insurance Billing - Good Idea being worked out in Congress - Hope they get past the Graft… & the Lobbyists!

39th year and 8th presidential administration? Go, Garry! I sure hope you last at least as long as I do……have I REALLY been reading Doonesbury for 39 years? Amazing. Well, I loved every minute of it, but is there any chance we can both go back and start over, or is this still a one-way trip?

I remember my first Doonesbury, It was a Sunday strip that my older brother had cut and pasted to the wall. It had one of these characters (maybe Mike) talking to his contact on the phone about keeping records of his pot business on his comp. Then, he claimed that he lost two bales in it. The contact was going to send thugs over to crack it open. Funny how GT uses similar gags 30 years apart.

The thing about Zonker is he really is a focused and determined worker. It’s just what he chooses to work on that makes him a slacker-lookalike. His focus on tanning back in the day was laser-like in its clarity.
