Can anyone explain why when I jump to Doonesbury, I get the April 15 strip and then have to click on the Doonesbury icon to get the new one? Whoever designed this new site is a moron.
Geez Bill. Use the A-Z listing as your base page, and link to the comics from there….don’t use the arrows and other nonsense. Remember also that they are still working on new features on this site. It’s a WAY better site than comicsDOTcom, two mornings in a row I can’t get their comics to load into the browser window (which will work fine when I check back there this afternoon for some reason)
The Prez will have something funny to say. He just has to slip and twist his tongue at least once. Too bad we don’t get to see his face. Now that is funny.
Why is Trudeau playing him as so naive? Why I’ll bet Obama has read plenty of Doonesbury and knows the routine well.
The only unknown at this point is what he will look like when he makes his first appearance. Although Obama has pledged to make government transparent, I really doubt if Trudeau will want to give him the old Bush treatment.
G.B. Trudeau’s Doonesbury is currently in its thirty-ninth year, tracking its eighth presidential administration. Trudeau maintains his studio in New York and his Web presence at www.doonesbury.com.

Bill - The link you click to get to Doonesbury may be coded for the April 15 strip.

okeedoekee, you’re partly right–in true Doonesbury style, the POTUS will be shown, as an invisible.

I believe the invisibility started with the elder Bush as VP during the Reagan years, and continued on when he became president.

BILL - The April 15th strip was probably “tagged” by someone as Doonesbury.

Q: Why aren’t there many Obama jokes?
A: His followers don’t think they’re funny, and the rest don’t think they’re jokes.

Q. Why are there so many Limbaugh jokes?
A. Radios are cheap and stupidity is free.

President Obama walks into a bar.
The bar tender says, “Wow! The President in my bar - what a stimulus!”

There is only one Limbaugh joke – it’s name is Rush.
