You can lead a horse to a pool
but you cannot make him drink
You can lead a kid to school
but you cannot make him think

This guy could have a great career as a spin-doctor, if not an actual politician.

Didn’t we see this strip when they were talking about Sarah Palin being able to see Russia from her home in Alaska?

Totally uncalled for misterwhite, let us know when you grow up. Most of the characters GEE1A mentioned ARE underachivers who were portrayed by some household names and world recognized for their rolls.
.
Eddie Haskell - actor Ken Osmond, earned medical disability pension from LAPD having been shot during foot persuit. Worked Vice Squad, Narcotics, & Motorcycle patrol.
Gilligan - Actor Bob Denver, Who doesn’t recognize this person or his theme song to Giligan’s Island worldwide.
Vinnie Barbarino - Actor John Travolta, A Hollywood Leading Man, Dancer, and Broadway performer.
Beetle Bailey - Over 50 years continuous syndication by original artist Mort Walker.
Bill Clinton - 2 term president of the U.S.
Joey of Baldo - …well, Joey’s still trying to find his niche. (grin)

How did you miss Al Capp?
prasrinivara said, 7 months ago
lincolnhyde, did you mean Andy Capp or Al Capp?
Andy is the Hartepoole (NE corner of England) pub-near-dweller last employed by Royal Army (he does on occasion talk of his service) while Al was the cartoonist who drew Lil Abner (about 6’3” muscular Dogpatch hillbilly).

gee1a-
Don’t worry. It’s not unusual to confuse the role with the actor - it’s the same mistake most stalkers make when they think their favorite star is speaking to them through the TV. BTW - Bob Denver wasn’t much like Gilligan at all - although the late Alan Hale was reportedly very much like the Skipper…

Don’t you get it?
This strip is now like “Mr. Harris” - useless…
a repeat of a repeat of a repeat…
GT is not going to touch Obama or his administration. It is going to be a boring 4 years ( 8 if things work out well for Obama, which I am beginning to doubt).
