The military acronym for the president used to be taken from Commander IN Chief US, but it was changed to Commander IN Chief when someone pointed out that CINCUS was pronounced “sink us”.

Nipponkid, it’s gone over your head. Sen McCain wasn’t the best of pilots during his Navy days and was considered a “hotdog” (show off).
Ok well a bit young to have known stuff like that. Also, i was just trying to make a joke…Thanks for taking all fun out of my comment.
The brevity, the suggested language, and that we don’t know you very well, yet, made it hard to see the joke. The inter-service rivalries are legendary, and have been since the Revolution - the ‘disagreement’ over which service was the first to be officially established still goes on, with both the Army and the Marines citing indisputable evidence. And the ‘names’ each has for the other(s), most highly bleeeeepable - but when the little brown wads hit the whirlin’ blades, most of that goes away, at least on the ground - it’s the generals who keep up the infantile attitude, cuz they aren’t the ones getting popped.
A lot of Marines don’t vote - they know it makes no difference who’s CIC - they’ll get sent somewhere.
UncaAlby is probably preparing a blockbuster of a post, full of lies and vitriol, guaranteed to infuriate everyone who sees it.
After all, that’s his raison d’etre.

UncaAlby is also a regular on the Pibgorn comment thread, and, while he’s not particularly inclned to mute his opinions, he’s hardly the sort you describe him as.
That is - it sounds as if he found the environment here negative and contumacious.
Yeah sooz. Are you guys married with all your battles taking place on the virtual plane ? Unc comes with some tongue in cheek comedy while you seem ready to throw battery acid in his face just for showing up.
G.B. Trudeau’s Doonesbury is currently in its thirty-ninth year, tracking its eighth presidential administration. Trudeau maintains his studio in New York and his Web presence at www.doonesbury.com.

@Ujjwal Dey: Good thought. We’ve been dealing with feathers and empty helmets for so long, it will be intriguing to see what Trudeau comes up with.

I think you have a typo. I would have thought CICNUS would be pronounced “sick-ness”. Did you mean CINCUS?

Still no UncaAlby? Perhaps Tuesday was too much for him. Rest In Peace, UncaAlby.

edcoyote - yes, it was a typo and I’ve corrected it. I’m prone to typos because of nerve damage from an old injury.

Gweedo, if I was married to UncaAlby, he wouldn’t be able to post anything, as I would keep his fingers permanently broken!
LOL

I’m sure you would have Unc neutered, clipped and smelling good, as a show dog should. ;-)
