They don’t live in my area, but I think I saw one once, a red bird that was too quick for me to get a good look. It could have been a cardinal who got lost.

I guess a glimpse is better than nothing ;) but if he really was lost… makes you wonder where the little guy was headed?!

Sometimes I think they do that to mark their territory. Either that, or just to show off and make us upset. Melissa, if you want to use anything I write, feel free to do it. It’s public domain. I don’t even need to be mentioned. I’m pretty certain that everybody else feels the same way. I like your comic.

Interesting about birds possibly marking their territory, I’ve never heard of that! Actually, there’s a nest of birds close to that tree as well, so it’s quite possible! Thanks very much for giving me the go ahead on using writing inspiration, if I’m inspired by someone though, it’s in my nature to try and give them credit :) Lastly, thank you for the compliment on my work, means a lot. Im enjoying this venue and the readers so much!

We have a cardinal couple hanging out in our backyard these days. I wonder if they ever have down time…they always look so busy. I guess it’s all about finding food this time of year…

Neat! I imagine they are busy gathering food by day but at night they like to cozy up in their nest… and watch old movies ;)
