I haven’t had the flu since I was a teenager. Is it really just by random chance I’ve went 30 years without the flu, even though I’ve usually had jobs that involved working with the public all day?
I think I’d be stupid to get the shot, myself.
If you’re in a high-risk group for getting the flu, or you’re one of those poor sad sacks who seems to get the flu pretty regular, hey, go for it.
Come on! That’s a spider web? How lazy can this woman be and still get her “work” published?
And what’s with the nose? Is she a witch? Then why does she need a fake nose? And why does the fake nose look more like a surgical mask that doesn’t cover her mouth?
At least she has a passable boob, a first for Barstow.
Ritalin? Huh, I haven’t even heard anyone talk of Ritalin in years! It’s all about ADHD and aderol these days! Is she trying to connect the Swine flu vaccination to the “overprescribing” of Ritalin?
And BTW, spiders have 8 legs plus the two eyestalks, antennae. Just thought you might like to know, in case it comes up somewhere.
Comparing vaccine to the over-use of Ritalin is really pretty silly. While I’m in an age group with higher immunity to H1N1, and have bad reactions to flu vaccines in general, it doesn’t NECESSARILY mean vaccinations are a “trick” situation. We DO need to get over the anti-bacterial phobias in America, and help kids build immunities. While bacteria and viruses are different critters, our over-indulgence in buying Madison Ave. medicine, and foodstuffs, is not a wise direction, medicine isn’t totally a fraud.
Well dtrout, people are dying of Hienie flu in places where they grow up in bacterial soup. So while I can agree with your overall sentiment, as it relates to this bug… not so much.
What’s the weird tiny-cat-hand-thing holding the bowl of ritalin? Donna must have accidentally slept through the drawing lesson on foreshortening. That’s too bad. For us.
The kindly witch is giving meds out like candy you dense cyber-droids. I find it interesting that the normally anti-establishment Libs are FOR this program in such an un-examined way. My personal belief is life ought to have room for sick spells (notwithstanding the danger of death involved woth Swiney-Flu). But, no - the establishment advises us to take our dead/undead mercury-laden toxic cocktail of objectionable material because “it works.”
What choice does the government have but to be ready with a vaccine. Recommended, but not mandatory. If you are concerned about safety, just say no. My daughter with my 5 grandkids says no. I’d lean toward having it.
Unreadiness, or what will be will be, gets you Katrina.
Stupid, Donna. Last I heard there have been over 1,000 deaths from H1N1, and 100 were children. While I think there are too many vaccines, this is one I will be getting.

The last thing a good parent wants to do is protect their children against a potentially deadly virus that is epidemic across the country.
Wait, what?

refusal of vaccine is a reflection of the belief that those who govern can’t be trusted
4uk4ata said, 27 days ago
Those who govern by and large don’t make vaccines, Magnaut. If you don’t trust those who do, that’s another story.

Remember the swine flu vaccine of the 1970s!

To a degree, it doesn’t matter. We can’t get it around here anyway.
