Well, it can’t be any worse than Vista. I like the scratchy cityscape.

This is political because………?
Sunrise or sunset ?
At least the art has improved to a D-

no, senor it’s not political, but I actually think I like the artwork, and sometimes it’s probably nice to step out of the political. Or maybe Donna just hates Vista so much that the release of Windows 7 seems like a new day.
Personally, I’m with bcs and love my Mac. My wife still has Windows and spends her days cursing it.

Well the art work is not that bad compared to the rest of her work, But I Guess I’m like your wife, I spend my time cursing Windows and Donna .

We’ll see how it looks when it arrives on the market. For now, XP gets the job done well enough.

On my system this shows up as “Editorial Cartoons” so it doesn’t have to be political. We also know there are folks who put up ‘toons about sports which aren’t political either.
I haven’t been impressed with Vista so I’m hopeful about 7.
The artwork looks good. But I’ve always been a sucker for a sunset/sunrise.

Another look, and I see this must be a sunset, Because the buildings look like they’re in an earthquake.

Actually, it is a comment on the gullibility of the folks who kept buying a system that didn’t work, won’t work now, costs more in the long run, has repeatedly tried to steal a better idea, built false hopes, used false advertising, and left us open to the real threats while professing it was protecting us better– just like the neocons and far right.

Product placement creeps into the editorial cartoons. Maybe Donna can do one for Coke tomorrow.

So, is XP still supported, and is it due to become unsupported?
I’m currently switching to xubuntu, which is a slimmer version of ubuntu, and is based on linux. Bill Gates missed his chance 10 years ago as far as I’m concerned.

I can only assume Donna created this in her PC Paint program.

From what I hear 7 is like XP only better.
I’ll wait to see what people tell me. Vista pissed me off and had to downgrade.

I love my Macs. Won’t use anything Microsoft unless I absolutely have to.

Windows 7 is nothing like XP. It is what Vista should have been from the beginning. It is faster as MS claims and has a bit of a cleaner user interface. Is it worth the cost to upgrade? Not really. If you are in the market for a new PC you won’t be disappointed but IMO if you are happy with what you’re running save your money.

Making things like Vista is why GM and Chrysler (and soon Ford) went bankrupted (and would have gone out of business if not for the Government). No matter how good WIndows 7 is people will still remember Vista and will (and should) buy a different product.
