Seriously, can we give these people at least, oh, one week of grace before we start the jokes about their lives? Oh, sorry, I guess there is nothing else to joke about in poor taste. Silly me.

Making fun of the dead is not only in poor taste, it doesn’t even make sense – unless you enjoy being cruel.

Where’s Carradine?

I’m with you Daniel, if she wanted to stay with bad taste the controversy over Carradine’s death is tailor made.

There once was a saying that “Death comes in threes” & that it’s so true this past week.with the loss of Ed Mc- Mahon, Farrah Facwett & Michael Jackson BUT making fun of the three deceased isn’t very cool. Let us remember the 3 souls in what they gave to the world with thier unique talents. May they all Rest In Peace.

Since all you literates ( and I use the term loosely) seem to hate this cartoon, why the bleep do you read it and then yah, yah, yah, about it? Go read the left cartoonists. I will never see your posts again, and that would suit me.

^ LIGHT ARTS TEACHER ? IT couldn’t be DONNA could it ? You raise some good questions, like why would a literary like yourself , be caught dead reading CARTOONS ? AND this one is consistently, the most poorly drawn, makes the least sense, than any other by far.
Why do i read it ? Just say, I like to look at accidents. There’s something to be learned. Like how debased some people can get. how wilted their thinking is. How right they think they are when it’s obvious they’re demented.
Seems each toon tries to reach a new low. Never clever, or funny, just sad and out of touch.
Well Donna, I could go on, but what’s the point. You dont care, you just want us to go away. Dont put your toon up in a place where people can make comments. Or just dont read them.

WWJD? Laugh, cry,be insulted,or feel vindicated. All is within the realm of our sick society. That someone would post such trash and others, like you and me, would read it verifies the moral decay of our beloved country. Oh well entertainment is entertainment. At least they aren’t throwing dirt in our faces today– so enjoy–don’t take stupid sh__ like this so seriously.

lightartsteacher: We read this cartoon to see what “the other side” is saying. If we simply wanted our opinions validated by others that agreed with us, we’d be Republicans.

I’d have put a sequined glove (or can of Jesus Juice) atop Jackson’s headstone, a shag hairdo (or blow dryer) atop Fawcett’s, leave McMahon’s exactly as is, and added another marker topped with a grasshopper for the Ace of Choreographed Martial Arts. Then, it would be truly tasteless. However, a highly skilled and experienced professional, Donna adheres to the comedy “Rule of Three.”
Op-Ed cartoons are supposed to strike nerves. Good work, Ms. Barstow.

No, I take that back. I’d have put a check for $1,000.000.00 atop McMahon’s!

Well, the lengths people go to “celebrate” a person’s death in strictly the most exploitative terms in our culture is kind of ironic isn’t it? But, I guess fame is weird that way… It’s ghoulish. Hey, I heard the top sellers at Amazon.com are all MJ albums. I guess he might get out of debt this way…

is hair the only remembrance of farrah fawcett?
is barstow a woman or a man - the only cheapshot is at farrah.

The reactions to this comic are interesting…I think far out of proportion to the image and its ironic theme. The epitaphs represent what we thought of them when they were alive…but now you are all offended Barstow put them deceased in a cartoon with their “claims” to fame written on their gravestones…
