Not sure what Donna is trying to say – could it be that she’s suggesting some of the animosity directed at Sotomayor is unjustified? After all, she’s a cartoonist for the New Yorker, so she’s got a NYC audience. Or does she mean that being from NYC disqualifies a person from the court?

I think the toon pokes more fun at young republicans (as if youth wasn’t short enough, some can’t even wait to have old ideas, lol!) than Sotomayor.

Yeah, we wouldn’t want anybody from New York City on the Supreme Court.. She probably wouldn’t understand what 9/11 and terriorism was all about.

DRED, East VS West ? Only if your a rapper.
Oh, and I would never want to go there again, and it sucks. Other than that, the east coast is good enough for easterners. No I take that back. I dont like New York, New Jersey, and D.C. I feel safer in a Mexican border town, then I do over there.

I used to haul produce to Hunt’s point, and up to Chelsea, Mass. Everybody wants you to grease their hand. You dont find that in the west. One time I went to see the statue of liberty. I kept stopping and asking people where it was, no one will talk to you. They act like they cant hear OR see you. It was weird, just plain weird. My girlfriend said let me try, Same thing, until one guy from across the street saw us and came over. He said what’s up, and we told him we’re looking for the statue bah bah, and we ask what was wrong with these people ? He laughed and said, they dont talk to no body. Then I asked why he did, he said I’m from Oklahoma, I’ve been here for 3 years. He saw on my door, where I was from, and decided to help us.
PS that’s when we robbed him.
Just kidding, or mavbe…..

Oh yea, there’s no parking on the east coast. Too much snow. I got a story about Altuna P.A.. about sliding backward down hill with a 45foot trailer. I got a lot of stories about the east. I’m so glad you like it, someone has to live there.
