‘Remember, we have nothing to fear but fear itself.’
‘Oh no, I’m afraid of that too!’

It’s not the McNuggets but the dipping sauce. Some got spilled on the upholstery in my company car. It ate through the vinyl.

Bats are just mice with hang gliders. We need more of ’em.

“Bats are not flying mice; they are not even remotely related to rodents. Bats are such unique animals that scientists have placed them in a group all their own, called ‘Chiroptera’, which means hand-wing. Bats are grouped with primates and lemurs in a grand order called Archonta.” – From http://batworld.org/myths_facts_page/

I still think the “mice with hang gliders” is cute. Thanks ottod.
Who cares what they really are, this is a comic.

Why am I hearing “Worried Song” by Joe Walsh?

No, Lisa, I believe you are thinking of the coffee made from civet cat poop, or actually the beans in their poop.

Too true, ottod. In Middle-English and Medieval heraldry the bat was even called a reremouse.

Bats are wonderful little pest eliminators. I’m very curious to see how they fared over the winter with the fungal virus that hit our area last year. In previous years we could see 10+ bats every night. Last year we had up to 6 bats at one time, but not on a regular basis.
