    Yes, they harvest your fur to make sofa cushions.

    Could be spun into yarn and knit into sweaters.

    It’s a Chihuahua. They don’t have enough hair to make anything. Not even the long coated Chihuahua.

    He’s more likely to be sucked into the vacuum cleaner.

    Umm, that’s a vacuum cleaner, that’s not considered grooming. Iggy doesn’t need that, just get a brush! That said my dog (shepherd/chow mix) isn’t that fond of being brushed and he really doesn’t like it when I brush his butt! Always give lots of treats so he feels better. :)

    I don’t think it’s a vacuum cleaner. My groomer uses something similar and it blows cool air. He uses it to blow dry the dogs without the danger of burning their skin.

    My dog needs the vacuum, but there is no way you would get near him with it!

    Strange as it may seem I rememeber barber shops had standard electric clippers ( we’re talking flat top’s here) with a vacuum hose attached so that all that clipped hair never made it to the floor. This was back in the late 50s early 60s time frame. After that I never saw them again.

    For some reason, my dog has not molted yet. (And when she does, she’ll produce enough fur to knit at least a half dozen poodles.) The 6" of new snow on the ground this morning may have something to do with that…

    @Chickweed Fan

    And every time I brush my goldie mix I get enough hair to knit a Chihuahua or two.
